new Valle de La Luna collection. It was a fusion of crazy, creative ideas that came to life.
It was a fantastic opportunity for me to push my creative boundaries and a total joy to present such a fabulous collection.

WORKFLOW
STORYBOARDS
When it came to planning this project, every detail mattered, and I meticulously mapped out each shot in advance. To ensure a seamless execution, I created detailed storyboards that served as a visual roadmap for the entire production. These storyboards not only guided the crew but also provided a clear vision of how each shot should unfold. With these visual guides in hand, the crew knew precisely how to capture each scene and prepare the settings, ensuring a cohesive and well-coordinated production process.
THE SCRIPT
MOODBOARDS
The collection's color palette served as a guiding inspiration for the lighting in the interiors of the spaceship. When I first encountered the new collection, the overall vibe immediately evoked the works of artists like James Turrell and Olafur Eliasson.
Inspired by their adept use of dynamic lighting, I aimed to incorporate similar light changes into the scenography of the spaceship, creating an atmosphere that reflects the modern and captivating essence of the collection.

To set the tone for the project, I aimed for a mysterious cosmic atmosphere in the intro. I wanted to blend this cosmic vibe with a touch of Britney Spears' song "Oops I Did It Again" to infuse an unexpected element of playfulness and break from the conventional.
The goal was to create an engaging and unique experience that merges cosmic wonder with a hint of pop culture flair.

For the interiors of the spaceship, especially focusing on the central perspective and embracing a retro vibe, my inspiration drew heavily from Kubrick's masterpiece, "2001: A Space Odyssey."
The film's iconic visual style, particularly the portrayal of the spaceship's interiors, influenced the design choices. The aim was to capture a sense of timeless elegance and futuristic nostalgia, paying homage to the classic sci-fi aesthetics while adding a contemporary touch.

GREEN SCREEN and VFX
We had to use a green screen because we wanted the fashion show to look like it was happening in outer space. The idea was to film models walking in a studio and then, in postproduction, add the cosmic background, spaceship, and planet using CGI. The green screen gave us the flexibility to create this cool effect, making it seem like the runway was in space. This approach not only offered creative freedom but also ensured that the final result authentically captured the otherworldly atmosphere we aimed to convey.
THE RESULT
In response to Baobab's visionary goal to take their new collection to Outer Space, the result is an over 1-minute-long video advertising the Valle de La Luna Resort '24 collection. Now, I invite you to experience the full journey by watching the stills and short clips of the full video.
